Specialist, Type Approvals

We are looking for a Specialist to work with sports devices Type Approvals activities in our R&D Hardware department.

You will be responsible for Polar products type approval actions and support related to TA activities. You will work with several R&D designers and other specialists to comply new product regulatory requirements. You will also collaborate with several Polar country managers and country authority representatives.

Qualifications / Skills

• Relevant educational degree (M.Sc or B.Sc).
• 2-4 years of experience with consumer devices regulatory requirements.
• Familiar with consumer electronics type approval activities. 
• Fluent understanding of electrical devices type approval process and authority requirements.
• Executing new product type approvals with relevant type approval laboratories.
• Negotiate contracts for type approvals with stakeholders.
• Plan and run type approval projects.
• Understand basics of modern product development processes.
• Fluent use of Jira and Atlassian tools.
• Good verbal/written communication skills.
• Good spoken and written skills in English.

Location can be any of the Polar locations in Finland (Helsinki, Jyväskylä, Kempele, Tampere).
